Searcher announces GeoClerk inclusion of Australian States’ Permit Report Archives

31 Aug 2020

PERTH, WA, 31 August 2020 – Searcher, a leading service provider of global multi-client geoscience products for exploration and production companies, announced today GeoClerk’s inclusion of NOPIMS, WAPIMS, SARIG, DIGS and GSQ Historical Permit Reports in time for the 2020 Australian Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage Release.

Searcher has integrated The NOPIMS, WAPIMS, SARIG, DIGS & GSQ Historical Permit databases to provide GeoClerk users with the ability to search through over sixty years of Operating Reports, Surveys, Interpretation Reports and more for all West Australian, NSW, QLD, SA and National Offshore Permits. This allows users to search through the entire library for modern geo-imagery and brings to light decades of historic and uncategorised documents.

GeoClerk is an advanced geo-imagery search engine utilising machine learning to intelligently extract imagery and surrounding data from all types of documents and classify them into intuitive and geologically relevant categories. In addition to searching publicly accessible content on the internet, GeoClerk searches for proprietary content held within several of its plug-ins from institutional and government databases.

Alan Hopping, General Manager at Searcher, said, “We are very pleased to be growing our Australian Database with the inclusion of the States’ archives. To offer this unique package in time for the 2020 Australian Licensing Round enables our clients to fast track the evaluation process.”

“Searcher looks forward to continuing work with the Australian government and strengthening the partnership which enables us to continually deliver high-quality products to the global E&P industry.”

GeoClerk is available now as an annual subscription service.
