Sula Basin 2D PSTM Seismic Reprocessing
Central Indonesia, Indonesia
Searcher Seismic in conjunction with project partner Fugro have PSTM reprocessed 3,829 km of 2D seismic data from the S88 seismic survey in the Sula Basin 2D PSTM Reprocessing Project. The Sula 2D PSTM Reprocessing Project lies to the North and West of the Sula Islands in Central Indonesia.
The data ties into two wells, Alpha-1 which discovered gas show and Loku-1 which was a non-commercial gas discovery. Reprocessing of the dataset has uncovered the deeper potential of the Sula Basin including a probable Mesozoic section which has a potential source kitchen and large undrilled structures with no late reactivation.
Searcher Seismic and Fugro have utilised the latest processing algorithms to vastly improve the seismic resolution of the older dataset. Some of the processing which was applied included Full Kirchoff PSTM and SRME in order to reduce the multiple energy. These processing methods have led to not only the identification of a possible Mesozoic section but also the potential long distance migration of hydrocarbons into the Sula Basin.
The Sula Basin 2D PSTM Reprocessing Project is available for immediate delivery.
