Gippsland 3D Non-Exclusive Ultra Merge

Searcher Seismic in conjunction with project partner 3D-Geo has merged sixteen 3D seismic surveys in the Gippsland Basin, to produce the Gippsland Ultra Merge, a high value, Post Stack merged 3D dataset offering contiguous volume interpretation on a basin-wide scale. The seismic data processing and merging has been undertaken by 3D-Geo and will provide consistent 3D dataset which offers the potential to further understand the regional stratigraphic and structural interpretation of the Gippsland Basin. The project consists of the most recent available open file 3D datasets in the Gippsland Basin.
The project area is located in one of the most prolific oil & gas provinces offshore Victoria with many discoveries made to date. Significant acreage is scheduled for mandatory 50% relinquishment over the next few years making the Gippsland Ultra Merge the data set of choice to screen new acreage opportunities.
