Outer Browse Super-Tie 2D PSTM Reprocessing
Browse Basin, Australia
The Outer Browse 2D Super-Tie project comprises the reprocessing of approximately 10,000km of selected lines from the HBR2000A and BR98 surveys located in Seringapatum Sub-basin of the Browse Basin, Australia. The Browse Basin is set to become a major gas producing region, with three major development projects imminent, including the Torosa, Brecknock and Calliance fields (20.5 Tcf/300 MMBC, Woodside), Ichthys field (12.3 Tcf/527 MMBC, Inpex) and Prelude and Concerto fields (2-3 Tcf, Shell), making this a perfect oppurtunity to take a fresh look at the adjacent Outer Browse acreage.
Searcher is pleased to announce that reprocessing has commenced and is being undertaken in Perth, Western Australia using a modern processing flow to unlock the full potential of this vintage data.
Although acquired nearly 10 years ago, the HBR2000A survey has excellent acquisition parameters with a 7km streamer and 10 second record length lending itself to take full advantage of the modern algorithms such as SRME and Pre-Stack Time Migration (PSTM).
The processing is specifically focused on imaging beneath the Jurassic volcanics that are present in the area to better image the underlying prospective Middle Jurassic to Triassic sediments.
The project covers some 10,000km2 of open acreage adjacent to the string of major fields situated along the Buccaneer-Buffon Ridge in water depth ranging from 500m to 2500m. For further information on the Outer Browse 2D Super-Tie please contact us directly.
