Flinders Deepwater
Non-Exclusive Post-stack 2D Seismic Reprocessing
15,979 km, Ceduna Sub-basin Great Australian Bight
Over 6, 2009 Acreage Release Blocks

Searcher Seismic with project partner Fugro, have post-stack reprocessed all of the 2000 Flinders Deepwater 2D Seismic Survey (15,979 km).

The amplitudes of the public domain seismic data are not balanced and require additional filtering in order to map the deeper events (and the primary Turonian Target) in the data. The Flinders Deepwater reprocessing is done from the original processed raw migrated stacks with the phase being preserved from the original processing. The reprocessing included time-variant dB scaling and bandpass filtering, FXY deconvolution and trace balance nested AGC.

The Flinders Deepwater post-stack reprocessing is an important seismic dataset for oil companies evaluating the 6 blocks (approx 37,000 sq km) which have been released as part of the Australian Governments 2009 acreage release. The Southern 3 of the 6 blocks have also been given FRONTIER status. All of these 6 blocks have been located over the main depocenter of the under explored Cretaceous age Ceduna Delta system which covers an area greater than 60,000 sq. km.

The reprocessed dataset is ready for immediate delivery to interested oil companies.
